Meeting opened at 6:30 PM
Request for Determination of Applicability Mass DOT Highway Division I-90
Determining whether the boundaries of resource areas on submitted plan are accurately delineated for the application of herbicides to control poison ivy and other target vegetation
Mr. Raza presented plan. The areas to be sprayed are those which cannot be mowed and where there is poison ivy or other plants. It is basically a safety issue. It is their first time to do the mowing. They have submitted a 5 year plan to the department of Agriculture for approval. They will prepare spray maps with areas to be sprayed marked. The Commission may do a site visit or refer to the maps.
Since there was not a quorum, this was an informational presentation to Ms. Vsetecka. No action was taken on the permit.
Mr. Raza will return for the April 19, 2012 meeting.
